A total creative solution for Dukkah on Florida
Millhouse was commissioned to create a brand new restaurant from start to finish which included assembling a creative team to build an iconic building and dining destination in central Durban. Millhouse brought on Richard Stretton from KOOP architects to work on the project. The building was inspired by architectural styles along the East African coast - Maputo, in particular, with it's beautiful colonial and modernist buildings with their many Bris Soleil, courtyards and arcades. The new restaurant was named after the famous African spice mix "Dukkah" and with that a new identity was created. This new identity extended into the architecture with Millhouse creating a Corten steel lasercut facade across the entire width of the building. This was completed with additional signage, menus, a responsive website with CMS and online gift cards and photography.
